As Vice President Membership, Marcia Mannen has been helping our club grow since its inception.

Marcia Mannen, computing associate director for Web services and applications in Arts & Sciences, has been Vice President Membership since the club’s inception.
Originally drawn to the club by the fun table topics questions at the sample meetings, Marcia became committed to making Toastmasters happen on the Danforth campus. She knew that volunteering for VP Membership would be a good challenge and learning experience.
In the role, she has seen and appreciated the real group effort that goes into keeping the meetings running smoothly. Marcia’s time in the position has involved attending the weekly Toastmasters’ meetings to greet guests and provide them with membership information, following up with anyone who indicates they are interested in joining, and running membership drives. She has found organization, time commitment to meetings, and expressing creativity in regards to membership and recruitment ideas to be important traits in this role.
This is part of the We Want You! Series, which profiled each of our charter club officers before they handed over the reins to the new team on July 1.
